The SLOPOS 17 excursion will take place on 8th September in the afternoon. We will be travelling by bus to Schloss Linderhof (Linderhof Castle). Schloss Linderhof is one of King Ludwig II palaces and was built between 1870 and 1886. Schloss Linderhof is world-famous for its gardens and the Venusgrotte, which can be visited on a guided tour.
Afterwards we drive to Kloster Ettal (Ettal Abbey). The monastery was founded in 1330 by Emperor Ludwig the Bavarian. The Benedictine monks are famous for their beautiful churches and abbeys and the art of brewing beer.
