There are currently 42 professors from eight different departments actively involved in the work of the RISK Research Center for Risk, Infrastructure, Security and Conflict of the Bundeswehr University Munich. Prof. Dr.-Ing. EoE Norbert Gebbeken (Department of Civil Engineering and Environmental Science) and Prof. Dr. Timothy Williams (Department of Social Sciences and Public Affairs) are the Research Center's spokespersons.
There are three types of membership, depending on status:
Full members:
Full professors as well as post-doctoral researchers working in relevant RISK fields can become full members of the RISK Research Center.
Junior members:
Academic staff as well as academic and research assistants of full or associate members who deal with RISK issues and who support the research and educational goals of the RISK Research Center can become junior members.
Associate members:
Researchers working at other universities or research institutes as well as experts from politics, administration, business and industry who deal with RISK issues and who support the research and educational goals of the RISK Research Center may be invited to become associate members.
