New Publication: Highly Efficient Planar Hot Electron Emitters Based on Ultrathin Pyrolyzed Polymer Films
We are pleased to announce the publication of our latest research on planar hot electron emitters (PHEEs) in ACS Applied Materials and Interfaces.
In this study, we introduce ultrathin pyrolyzed polymer films to achieve a wafer-scalable, highly reproduceable, and efficient way of fabricating gate electrodes for PHEEs. The emitters demonstrated exceptional transfer ratios of over 30%, placing them among the top devices currently available.
The presented work is of great significance in making highly efficient PHEEs more accessible, and establishes a foundation for the broader community to utilise these highly versatile electron emission devices.
