Video Project: The Solar System
2 August 2025
Our interns spent almost half a year working together to complete this video project. They came to us through the ERASMUS+ internship program and the Robert Bosch Technical College, respectively. Together, they created an educational video on the topic of “Our Solar System,” which is intended for sixth-grade students at a middle school.
It would take decades to travel around our solar system, so our interns decided to travel across Munich to talk about the most important celestial bodies in the solar system. At the same time, they explore some of the city's most beautiful places and tell viewers about the “Munich system.” They discuss the size, appearance, and important information about the planets. Of course, they use entertaining, child-friendly language and comparisons that are easy for children to understand.
The virtual excursion to the ESO Supernova Planetarium in Garching, the location of the sun in the “Munich system,” is accompanied by a camera and culminates in an almost 20-minute educational video. The above content is an edited short version for the website.
