Dr. Jongyoun Park

Dr. Jongyoun Park (academic name: Jong-Yeon Park) is a Postdoctoral Researcher who joined the CODE research institute at Universität der Bundeswehr München in September 2025. He obtained his Ph.D. in Information Science from Kyushu University, Japan, under the supervision of Prof. Kouichi Sakurai. He also holds a Master’s degree in Mathematics from Kookmin University, Korea, where he studied under Prof. Dong-Guk Han and Prof. Okyeon Yi, and a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics. Before his postdoctoral appointment, he accumulated over a decade of industrial R&D experience at Samsung Electronics, KT, and ETRI, where he specialized in cryptographic algorithm implementation, side-channel and fault-injection countermeasures, and security certification. His current research focuses on the design and optimization of hardware/software co-design solutions for post-quantum cryptography, with particular emphasis on secure and efficient implementations resilient against physical attacks.
