Embedded Systems Security

The lecture Embedded Systems Security is offered as part of the Master in Cyber Security and is a compulsory course of the module Hardware Security.

Qualification goals
The students deepen their competence to understand and evaluate the basic behavior and the essential tasks of hardware-related computer systems in practice. They will be able to classify the properties of hardware-related computer systems from a scientific point of view and thus have the basis for evaluating the usability of these concepts for specific practical applications. Students know how to secure embedded systems with regard to the transmission, processing and storage of data. They are familiar with technical and physical attack variants such as side-channel attacks and know how software implementations can be hardened against them.
