Dr. François Gérard

François Gérard received his master degree from Université libre de Bruxelles in 2015. He then pursued a PhD in the same institution while working there as a full-time teaching assistant. His thesis "Some Practical Aspects of Lattice-based Cryptography" was successfully defended in 2020. From 2020 to 2025, François was part of the University of Luxembourg in the Applied Crypto Group led by Professor Jean-Sébastien Coron were he worked mainly on side-channel protected implementations of post-quantum cryptography algorithms. In 2026, he joined the ESSEC team and works on project SPARTAQUS.
