New paper on intelligence and business wargaming

The research paper „On the role of intelligence and business wargaming in developing foresight” by Aline Werro, Christian Nitzl und Uwe Borghoff has been published in Technology Analysis & Strategic Management.
The paper focuses on business wargaming as a central tool for developing sustaining strategies. Business wargames require specific information to support the decision-making process. Therefore, this paper examines the role of intelligence in the process of developing strategic foresight. The focus is on how intelligence is developed and how it relates to business wargaming. It is shown that business wargaming can make a significant contribution to competitive intelligence by identifying missing information and transforming data into actionable intelligence. Furthermore, it bridges the gap between competitive intelligence and strategy, either by testing or developing a new strategy.
