24 June 2025

The CCEW Symposium 2024 was a two-day event under the theme of “Predictive Synergies: Crisis Early Warning & Foresight”, taking place in September 2024. While on the first day, different research panels shed light on different prediction and foresight approaches, the second day featured interactive sessions. The interactive sessions brought together interdisciplinary groups and encouraged discussions about synergies of forecast and foresight methods as well as on challenges to overcome limitations of individual methods.

This report summarizes the CCEW Symposium 2024. It reflects on the topics that have been addressed in the research panels and on the concept and vivid participation in the interactive sessions. Further, it outlines the key insights gained and critically deals with areas for improvement.
