Academic Teaching
I teach in the BA and MA programs in Political and Social Sciences at the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences at the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Munich.
In the BA program, my teaching focuses on courses in the modules “European Union: Political System and Foreign Relations” and “Transnational and International Conflicts and Peacebuilding.” At the MA level, I mainly teach in the modules “Conflict Research” and seminars on qualitative research methods in international relations, as well as advanced research seminars on issues of power, hierarchy, and political violence in international relations.
In addition, I regularly give lectures, such as the lecture “Introduction to the Theories of International Relations” or central exercises in the modules “European Union: Political System and Foreign Relations” or the BA and MA modules on conflict studies.
I am also involved in planning and implementing academic teaching and research trips. These offer MA students specializing in “International Law and Politics” the opportunity to experience conflict contexts in the wider European neighborhood in practice. So far, the trips have taken us to Armenia and Georgia, Israel and Palestine, Bosnia-Herzegovina, and Croatia, among other places.
