Kostas Konstantinidis leads the SACS Junior Research Group (Supporting Arms Control in Space). He is a space systems engineer with a keen interest in the application of technical, engineering, and computational methods for informing space policy. He has worked in the design of a variety of space systems, from the exploration of the outer solar system, to Earth observation platforms and de-orbiting systems at the University of the Bundeswehr Munich. He has served as an internal research fellow at the ESA Advanced Concepts Team (ACT), and has worked with foresight and futures methods to inform issues around space and disruptive technologies in general at the European Space Agency, the Bavarian Foresight Institute, and others. He received his PhD in aerospace engineering from the University of the Bundeswehr Munich.
