New paper regarding 3D printing in a vacuum

Our new article "Fused filament fabrication of polyetheretherketone in vacuum: the influence of high vacuum on layer adhesion in z-orientation" was recently published open-access in the journal Progress in Additive Manufacturing.

The paper deals with the influence of 3D printing in a vacuum on the adhesion behaviour of the individual printed strands. It is shown experimentally that the use of a simple vacuum device in the printing process significantly improves the adhesion between the layers. This makes this process interesting for general use with high-temperature polymers in 3D printing.
