Conference on Advanced Computational Engineering and Experimenting (ACEX2025)

11 April 2025

The 18th International Conference on Advanced Computational Engineering and Experimenting (ACEX2025) took place in Naples, Italy, from 30 June to 4 July 2025.

Dr. Mehul Lukhi presented his work on the topic of "Multi-Physics Simulation of a Material Extrusion-Based Additive Manufacturing Process: Towards Understanding Stress Formation in the Printed Strand" in the session "Additive Manufacturing".

The presented study revealed how printing speed and thermal conditions influence stress buildup and deformation, using viscoelastic material modeling and ALE-based finite element methods supported by experimental validation. The work contributes to a deeper understanding of stress formation mechanisms, particularly the "one-layer memory effect," and paves the way for improved control in large-scale 3D printing.

Many thanks to all the organisers who contributed to the success of this conference.
