95th GAMM Annual Meeting in Poznań, Poland

11 April 2025

The 95th Annual Meeting of the International Association of Applied Mathematics and Mechanics (95th GAMM Annual Meeting) took place in Poznan, Poland, from April 7 to 11, 2025.

The "Structural Mechanics" section, led by Prof. Kiendl, was very successful with 11 sessions. The focus of this section was on advanced theoretical, numerical, and experimental models for evaluating the behavior of structures under static and dynamic loading.

Innovative materials with high strength, anisotropy, and unusual mechanical behavior pose new challenges for the design and performance of various structural elements such as beams, plates, and shells. Structural problems of various kinds can arise, particularly when using materials with internal architecture.

Prof. Kiendl also gave a presentation at this conference entitled "A variationally consistent membrane wrinkling model based on spectral decomposition of the strain tensor."

Many thanks go to all the organizers who contributed to the success of this conference.
