Artificial Intelligence Meets Security (AIMS) Annual Retreat (Garmisch-Partenkirchen)

The Artificial Intelligence Meets Security (AIMS) Annual Retreat (formerly the UniBw AI Retreat) brings together AI researchers from academic institutions related to defense and security and participants from security authorities for technical exchange, networking, and discussions at the intersection of AI and security (including poster sessions, expert talks, and an interactive wargame).

The event will take place from 15 to 17 July 2026 at the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
We will kick off the retreat with an informal evening get-together on 15 July (starting at 18:00). The main program will take place on 16 and 17 July.

AIMS is organized by the University of the Bundeswehr Munich, the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies, and the NATO School Oberammergau.
