Qualification goal:
Ability to practically design user-specific circuits using a selected hardware description language. Ability to analyze and design digital circuits using CAD software.

  • Digital circuits (Practical course; 2 TWS)
  • Hardware descripton language(Lecture; 1 TWS)
  • Hardware descripton language(Exercise; 1 TWS)
  • Hardware descripton language(Practical course; 3 TWS)

 

Contents:

Introduction to a hardware description language Development methodology:

  • Systematic approach to the design of circuit examples in data technology, hierarchical concept, utilization of libraries
  • Introduction to a development environment
  • Presentation of a selected module architecture(FPGA/CPLD/ASIC)

 

Practical course in hardware description language:

  • Practical application of the development tools
  • Design input
  • Synthesis and simulation
  • Realization and testing

 

Practical course Digital Circuits:

  • Dimensioning of digital circuits according to given specifications
  • Proof of functionality with the help of simulations
  • Creating the associated circuit board templates and production documents
