Dr. Nina Seemann

Postdoctoral Associate at the Professorship for Data Science

Brief profile

After completing her doctorate at the Institute for Natural Language Processing at the University of Stuttgart, the computational linguist has been conducting research at the University of Paderborn since 2017. There, she headed the Digital Humanities working group at the Faculty of Cultural Studies.

Dr. Nina Seemann joined the team in May 2020. In her previous research, she dealt with the use of tree transducers and machine learning in translation models as well as the creation of a POS tagger for the grammatical analysis of historical texts. Most recently, she conducted research in the field of hate speech detection.
