Martigny Biometrics Workshop

On May 19-20, we co-organised the Martigny Biometrics Workshop (aka EAB-CITeR Workshop) at IDIAP with 120 attendees (researchers, engineers, policy experts, practitioners and end-users in biometric technologies).
This year’s workshop offered in-depth exploration and exchange on some of the most pressing issues shaping the field today:

🔹 Foundation Models for Biometrics ( Arun Ross, Fadi Boutros, Naser Damer, Srijan Das, Hatef Otroshi, Anjith George, Ph.D and more )
🔹 Biometrics under the AI Act (Catherine Jasserand-Breeman, Dr. Isabelle Landreau, Abdullah Albi, Deleruyelle Thibaut, Claude Bauzou and more )

Teams from recent EU-funded projects under the calls HORIZON-CL4-2024-DATA-01-01 "AI-driven data operations and compliance technologies" and HORIZON-CL3-2023-BM-01-03 "Beyond the state-of-the-art 'biometrics on the move' for border checks" attended also the workshop.
